Threads Mini Skirt

Amber W Smith’s designs serve as a representation of the artist’s background and key influences. Having graduated from London’s Central Saint Martins in 2020, her designs look to the complexities of female identity, and the clothes women wear which embody their duality. Herself a trained athlete, the signature thread-worn style grew out of an interest in the clothing women wear in training, both in ancient times and today. Launched in 2022, Amer W Smith’s zero-waste technique, resulted in her threaded garments which mimic the effect of well-worn clothes, celebrating deterioration rather than seeing it as something to be ‘fixed’.
