Barcelona’s Merrfer is the ultimate scene stealer. Exaggerated and self-aware, impractical and rebellious, Merrfer’s designs prioritise fun. Each piece is upcycled from deadstock materials, and handmade in the artist’s studio.
Combining bright colours and hyper-feminised silhouettes, the pieces seem to harken back to childhood in their playfulness. Yet their boldness indicates a punk disposition, disregarding common conventions and leaning into a more hedonistic, self-expressive mode of dressing.
