AOK is the creation of Annie King - an interdisciplinary British artist who combines the traditional mediums of goldsmithing, lost wax casting, electroforming, and sculpture. AOK produces one-of-one wearable artworks rooted in organic construction, reinterpreting the historic traditions of jewellery. Interested in morphic resonance, panpsychism, and the subtle meshing of scientific and spiritual realms, chance takes a priority in Annie’s creation process. Using renegade processes such as life casting, water casting, reticulating, or casting in place, Annie gives her materials autonomy in ‘deciding’ their final shape.
