She finds comfort in what she describes as ‘The innate Britishness’ of her half Black Caribbean, half White identity which heavily informs the colours and characters of the collections. Something that has continued to inspire Erin in her work are the folktales of her heritage country, Dominica, and how she can translate some of the messages into her work, transforming fables into silhouettes and hues.
