Mo.fin is the creation of Glasgow-based maker Monica Findlay. Designing based on a personal interest in artefacts and nostalgia, her designs are often influenced by traditional design methods.

Hand-carved textures and intricate wirework acts as key motifs in her work. It embues a sense of timelessness in her work – a practice which leans into modern sensibilities whilst also referencing traditional artisan craft.

Scottish history is equally present in her work. Across Findlay’s designs, influence is sourced from Scottish artefacts, and materials from the landscape itself are present within her work itself. In Mo.fin’s designs, a harsh industrialism is intertwined with a sensitive tribute to the natural world and traditional processes.
