Carboot, by Katie Bremner, takes an experimental, playful approach to design. Her ever-growing array of hand-sculpted bags use an ancient felting technique. Wool fibres, water, heat and physical energy from the body is harnessed to form each piece. Earth-toned backdrops clash with hard neon or delicate pastel in unconventional shapes to cement the signature style.

Born in Scotland, Bremner takes influence from the eccentric finds often discovered at carboots and jumble sales. The result is a label that encourages us to push ourselves beyond our own conventionalities – to embrace oddities, and experiment in the everyday.
