Trashy Clothing is a ready-to-wear Palestinian fashion label embodying a hybrid mixt of political satire, kitsch cultural references, seduction and wit. The label’s goal is to reclaim the Palestinian/Arab identity and subvert what is considered different in modern culture.
Under the co-creative direction of Omar Braika and Shukri Lawrence, the brand presents collections that transcend borders, race, or gender, and uses fashion as a medium to inform and question. With references to workwear, clubwear, sportswear, Arab pop icons, & eveningwear, each collection presents a topic with the spirit of anti-fashion.
Trashy is about contradictions, teaching, and putting the consumer onto not only buying pieces for their aesthetics but also for their story.
